Heater Slider Disc LED

Just brought my Chim out of winter hibernation, and the LED on the HOT/COLD metal slider disc has died!

Are these easy enough to replace?
Just a case of removeing the disk, and changing the LED?

Any ideas as to where you can get them? Are they a standard Maplin job?

Hi Malc. When I renewed my dash covering with carbon fibre I did break one of the leds. Two are round the others triangular. The only place I found they were sold was as a set of 4 on e-b** for about £16.00. Don't think they're available seperate? Replacement is a pain, dash top off, then carefully unbond the led from the rear of the panel. Cheers John042

Sorry Malc. Just re-read your post; you mean the light inside the disc? If you can remove it I guess Maplins might be a good bet? Cheers John042

You can get the roumd ones from maplins not sure about the triangle ones.

Yep, it's the smaller orange ones inside the metal discs I'm after.

Are the discs themselves hard to remove?

Is it just a big bolt through the dash top, with a securing nut in behind where the CD player is?

You will need to remove the dash top then yes there is a big bolt through the middle of the disks. It is possible thatthe led has failed but could well be a broken wire as they have to flex as the wheels are turned.
I have my dash out at the moment so can post a pic here later this evening.
