Looking for Temp work - Wilts/Berks/Glous

I was made redundant from my job of 15 years last summer (Nokia). I have managed to find another job, but am waiting for security clearance to be granted. This can take anywhere between 3 and 6 months.
My gardening leave with Nokia has now stopped and I am without an income and at home. I imagined that it would be fun at home, but without income, it really is not.
Has anyone got any temporary work that I could be suited to? I am based in Swindon, but willing to travel. I have a full clean drivers licence and am willing to do most types of work.
I have registered with the local Pertemps, but thought that i would try Pistonheads as there maybe a chance to work with cars or in the auto trade.
