964 and 993 cup seam weld strengthening diagrams wanted
Discussion
The details are supposedly in the factory workshop manual, I'll have a look later tonight.
Although it's about the Carrera Cup US cars, this site provides a lot of info - http://www.carreracupusa.org/

Anyone know where I can get information on seam welding/strengthening 964 and 993 chassis to cup spec please ?
Great reference Slippy. WTD you realise you will have to bare metal the shell to do it properly. Weld penetration etc and underseal don't mix. Exactly the same process with my 3.2 SSEwtdoom said:

There's no need for all that stuff. Try this :
Click on the link I posted previously. It will automatically start to download the PDF file. Just be aware it may take a few minutes (two or three) to download to your PC as it's a fair size file.
Once it's downloaded it will automatically open and you should have a a box at the top or bottom of the page with arrows etc, which allows you to scroll up or down through the pages. The box will also allow you to increase or reduce the page size.
Scroll down to page 236 and all you desire awaits . . .

Ok cheers. I didn't know if you got my reply at the weekend. Looking at your plans for the silver one I can see how you might need the blue one sitting there as reserve. No probs, just let me know when you decide.
Sorry to pester you. God loves a tryer.
