Halfrauds Rip Off For Mobil 1

This lot stung me 18 Quid for a litre , I queried the price as I thought she was overcharging me .and she told me to ring their head office !!
My local Factor had some for £12 but arnt stocking any more .

Any ideas re Stockists ?

On their website Mobil 1 Motorsport 15W50 1 Litre is £15.99, 5 Litres is £47.99.

Don't use Mobil 1 --- Simples

I was advised by Power not use the stuff following my engine re-build, also had the same advise from other sources.

That oil is crap anyway..

TVR only used it because of some deal made between TVR and mobil..

Best oil Ive used to date was castrol 10-60

Whats wrong with Mineral Valvoine Vr1 Im using it right now ..not even thinking about fully synthetic until its got more miles under its belt..

Morris 10w50 fully synthetic
Millrs 15w60 fully synthetic
Millers 20w60 semi synthetic
Millers 10w60 fully synthetic
castrol edge 10w60 fully synthetic

Im movng on to penrite 15w60 semi synthetic ,heard good reports about this oil.

^^^^ Same here, in fact the car uses less oil also.
PS; I know a guy who was a development engineer on the 4.6 at Land Rover and he uses it in his Cobra [with nitrous]

I'm pretty sure Halfords will price match like for like. They certainly used to.

I'm using Silkolene Pro S - it's a top quality oil.

5w 40 or 10W 50 are good grades for Winter / summer.

Opie oils stuck posting makes a good read.
