Has anybody fitted the Turbo wheels off a 997 to the front of a Cayman? The 997 wheels are 8.5X19 ET57 997 and I think the correct wheels for a Cayman are 8 x19 ET57mm. This means the wheels will be 6mm further out and have 6mm less clearance inside. I will be fitting the Cayman rears which will be 9.5x19 ET46 so not bothered about the rears. So has anybody done this without issue?

Given that the offset is the same but the 997 wheels are half an inch wider, I would guess that they'd foul on the inner arch on or near full lock.
Probably a no-no then.

You should be OK .. 997 Turbo tyre size at 235/35/19 is the same as the Cayman S, isn't it?

You would have to presume that while you can get all the 997 wheels as options for the Cayman - the fact they bother to produce them in different sizes / part numbers means 997 wheels dont just go on and work properly - else Porsche would do it themselves and save a lot of hassle?

Looking through Planet-9 FAQ it would seem that an option is the 19" Carrera Sport Wheels which are 8.5x19 ET55 on the front which is close enough for me http://www.planet-9.com/faq.php?faq=optionsindex#f...
