It would appear that my (now defunkt) Comtrend powerline adapters are (for want of a better word) shagged.

I've alledgedly got 2 new replacements coming on Monday from BT; but could really do with 2 for this weekend.

Does anyone localish within the SAS have 2 spare plug-in ethernet homeplug/powerline adapters, or somesuch that I could borrow?

You could borrow mine for the weekend if you want, I need them tomorrow day time (working from home, they're the 'office' network solution as it were) but I won't be using them over the weekend what with that being toddler time and all.

Steve,

That would be brilliant. I'd not need them until tomorrow night, and can return late on Sunday night, or on Monday morning on my way to work (c. 07:30ish).

Cool if they'll do the job then we can maybe meet up tomorrow daytime or early evening. They're these jobbies which are brilliant, no setting up required and they have a built in wireless range extender.

Glad they work, I got the Netricity ones from Maplin first and they both needed setting up and were then really flaky, eventually stopped working after 3 months. The guy at Maplin kinda rolled his eyes and went 'another one' then suggested the Devolo version and said that he never gets them brought back.
