Hi, I was cleaning up the years of gunk on the engine, and noticed that there are two pipes at the base of the plenum that
dont have any tubes attached. Is this just the design or should they attach to something?! (seee pic below) tks

On the donor land rover they are used to pump coolant around to warm the plenum up I believe, not used in the TVR application

And don't take the plate off as the bolt holes are not blind and hence a plenum air leak point. I did this and found the hard way.

Just put the bolts back in the holes with a bit of sealant.

Also make sure the coolant pipe outlets where the 'throttle heater' recieved the coolant from has been blocked off effectively. Mine failed and coolant spurted everywhere.

It's better to make an extended run to link the 2 pipes together to maintain some flow as they are good bleeders. Having enough run so you can raise them and use to bleed when filling the coolant is a cunning bonus to boot.

IIRC it's only 2 of the 4 bolt holes that require sealing BTW, but remove the plenum and look carefully when/if you do remove the TB heater.
