Shortcut to the start of Pistonheads...

Hi all.

I want to have a look at the first thread ever posted on Pistonheads, however, it takes a very long time to click the mouse 8038 times to get to the start of General Gassing for example.

Is there a shortcut?

For The Lounge:

Number of pages = 1247
Number of threads per page = 20

1247 * 20 = 24940

- 20 (Because the last page has 20 threads on it as well) = 24920.

In the query string for "The Lounge" ( here: http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/forum.asp?h=0&a... )

"i" = thread index. replace "YOUR_NUMBER_HERE" with 24920, and there you go!

Just do that with whatever forum you want to see the start of.

It is slightly weird looking at a forum 12 years old, when you have read posts by the same person which are current.

Those would only be the threads not more recently replied to. I suspect the first threads are a bit older than that.

Yes. They splie the forums and the "lounge" was created. Caused a huge uproar. And it was 2007. I cant remember if this created the global downturn, or whether it was created as a result of the global downturn.

No, that was much later. I can't remember why it only goes back far but this isn't the reason.
