Anyone up for it?

Saturday morning meet at a clay ground that suits everyone. Probably meet up at around 9am, bacon roll and a coffee, then do something like a mixed Sporting 100. If there is 8-10 of us we'd be finished by about 11.30am and can depart whenever we like.

Anyone in? If so add your name to list below and a couple of other things so we know what we've got.

I'd imagine cost per head for a Sporting 100 would be around £30-40, less if you have your own gun/bring own cartridges.

Proposed date of Sat Jan 21st ot Sat Feb 4th.

Cant do the 21st, but may be interested in the other date - that is if a complete, absolute beginner is welcome!?

Giblet if your not careful you will be game.

I'll look on my works diary to see if I'm working but I'm up for it. No gun and the last time I shot clays I was as much good as a chocolate fire guard.

I'd be up for it if it's not too far away. Either date is okay for me, but February would be slightly better.

I've only been shooting once before and that was when WildOliver organised it (4 years ago, http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... and enjoyed it.

It's about time I got myself a gun as there are two clay shoots near me. This could be the kick start I need to fill the forms in.

Ok, 5 is a good start, would be good to get 7/10 if we can.

As for location, I'm relatively easy, suggestions welcome.

Shooting is not too bad...

If you wanted to buy a gun, shoot clays every other weekend and do half a dozen driven pheasant days a season then your first year will only cost you around £6000 wink

If you want an expensive hobby try grouse shooting or polo. £25k per year should get you about 12 days out...

I'm in to kill some clay discs smile . All sorted and I'm not working and no flights on the horizon that are not planned.

I'm also up for some beating eventually with my new springer to get him used to the guns. I'm also looking at an over and under when I sort out my licence.

Mrs therealpigdog fancies coming along too, so that's another one for the numbers. SGC - own gun - Annie Oakley.

Was there with you Al, cracking day out - would like another go, 4th is ok for me depending where the ground is in relation to me, east/north yorks prefered.

Ok all, I think we've got enough interest now to get this sorted for Sat Feb 4th.

What I need is an idea of where everyone is in the various Yorkshires and how far you're willing to travel (distance or time). Once I have that I can make a few suggestions on venue.
