That looks mental, not sure how long till it would flip over though - looks a little tall compared to its wheelbase! And reverse would be a nice addition!

£10k?

Short of a lottery winner just wanting a laugh I struggle to see who would spunk that.

sounds like fun, don't fancy the "brakes are original Fiat" bit though and might get a bit frisky on those skinny tyres.

Nice idea in Forza or GT but in reality will be a liability, we have a 500 and I know how they are constructed, I think that must be on standard running gear to fit in the standard body lines, its not wide enough and it needs a cage to be safe when you crash it.

Interesting find - light, fast and potentially deadly.

That sort of speed with those wheels and brakes = death.

I love the way it looks completely standard, but yes, as said, it's silly money, and it really does need chassis/brakes/wheels/tyres and probably seats/harness/cage.

It's still brilliant though biggrin

All i can say is the following:

"hahhahahahahaahahba weeeeeeeeeeee!" - that looks like brilliant fun, and a well written ad as well. I can't imagine 13,500rpm behind you in a little classic like that!

I do wonder how it copes on skinny rubber though.

love it.

Personally I find the idea of £10k on this much much easier to understand than £40k+ on a 911/Ferrari/BMW etc.
I guess we are different

0-100 in 12.5 sec will not be leaving M3 owners for dead at all! As for 0-60 in 3.5 sec, possibly but i have owned a bike engined car and they are very, very tricky to get off the line cleanly.Great fun when your going though, even in old fiat st box.

£10k though??? You could get a very nice bike engined westfield or similar for that.

I don't believe the 3.5s 0-60. My car has the injected 2003 R1(a lighter lump with more power), weighs 350Kg and manages about the same. This car will be considerably heavier, isn't on stickies and if it can hit 100mph gearing is roughly the same.
4.0 to 4.5 is probably more like it.

If you think £10k is expensive for a 126, look at this:

For 10k I'd want it to be perfect though. The best tyres and brakes it could have, reverse gear, no other faults including any side-effects of the conversion like overheating or knocking engine mounts... that sort of thing. If it was running knackerd Wanali tyres or some old rubbish like that then I'd be a bit annoyed supposing I was in the market for something like this. I have bought cars just for fun before so can't knock that idea. Sometimes people get inheritance money or an insurance pay-out or something like that and have no idea what to do with the cash so it's not impossible to sell, just trying to find someone to buy it, which would be really hard. Deprecation free... can't depreciate if you can't sell it. I'd be comfortable enough with the standard size wheels and brakes but would want top quality rubber on there. You wouldn't be driving it fast all the time, just an occasional showboating blast. Different if it was meant for the track.

It sounds about right to me, its power:weight ratio won't be far off a bike-engined kit car that can do similar 0-60 times and the Fiat will have slightly more traction off the line with the engine sat over the rear wheels.

Quite pricey. Not exactly a 500 is it? I remember the British car museum sold a new Maestro a couple of years ago for £6000. They were running out of space so had to sell some of the old rubbish.
