Hi folks

I am planning my summer trip down though France taking in the Route Napoleon down to Castellane and then across driving several Col routes in the Grande Alpes whilst working my way back up staying in Briancon, Val D'Isere and Annecy.

Could anyone point me in the right direction regarding good map(s) to take?

Given that Mrs O will be on the maps (and as she will freely testify map reading is not one of her numerous strong points) as a back up to Tom Tom, the preference would be for map books rather than broadsheets if possible

Cheers

Graham

Michelin Road Atlas should be good enough for the majority of the route. The only times it gets difficult are when you're trying to navigate round an unfamiliar city. I used the Michelin Atlas for my solo drive to the Alps and around various passes in summer 2010.
