Evening/morning all, I've got to go to Sytner MINI tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon, just thought about it's location, and wondered where on earth I park my car. Do they have any customer parking or do I have to sling it in a public car park (where?!). I've never been to Canary Wharf, so don't know what to expect, and Google Streetview doesn't appear to have gone in there, and these user-added snaps are less than helpful...

Any info would be greatly appreciated, ta!

(Have also posted in the London regional section!)

If Sytner don't have any customer parking there's an NCP type car park at westferry circus wink.

You buying that MINI at last?

Cheers, will look that up now, matey is finally getting around to replacing the smashed one. Going to see an 57-plate R56 Cooper in Maidstone that looks like this (minus the scoop and S bumpers):

48,000mi
Radio BOOST
Half Leather
Alarm
Chili Pack
Chrome-line Ext
Additional decor rings
White roof, Mirrors and bonnet stripes
It says the 17" 'Flames' are white too...

Then it's to London to see this 06-plate R50 Cooper:

32,000mi
Half Leather
Alarm
Chili Pack
and the Black roof, mirrors, bonnet stripes.

Here you go John, never made it to Sytner, car had been taken elsewhere or something and was under offer, but it was okay, because my mate put a deposit on this, running costs made it more attractive, £95 for 12-months road tax - WHAAAT?!

Pick up next Saturday, he's having this semi-integrated navigation fitted and currently trying to decide whether or not to take out GAP Insurance after the last one... hehe

Fingers crossed! Think he is going to take out GAP... hehe

It's got a small scuff on the rear bumper lip, a small but deep scuff under one of the headlights and residue from stickers reading "You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off" along the front above the plate at the moment, but it only came in a few days ago, so it's not been prepped at all. Scuffs all being sorted, detailed, all four wheels are being re-furbed and this fitted:

(So he can see the corners before he reaches them!!! hehe )

Well, it swivels to anywhere around the rev-counter, so maybe it should be on top of it at all times!

Halfway back the engine management light came on, car cut power, sounded rough as a bag of rusty nails, juddered and shook, just wasn't happy at all, limped to mates house, shut unit off, waited a bit and tried again, all good, took it for a run around the outskirts of the city and it started cutting power momentarily, intermittently... Think the dealer is coming to get it on Monday, they're going to actually refurb the wheel they clearly forgot as well whilst they've got it...

Managed to make one small mod, changing the sidelights back to normal from the nasty blue/green ones it came with.

Damn, not a good start frown, hope the dealer sorts it without any hassle.

Will he be bringing it to the next tunnel run?? There could be another couple of noisy MINI's coming along to it laugh

Yeah real nightmare, look great when they are clean, which is all of 30 seconds in this weather. Was probably the 1st mod I did to my car.

Looks good thumbup, very similar size to my Garmin Nuvi 265.

How's your mate getting on with it?

Okay I think, he took it out for a spin in the dark yesterday to check out all the lights, seems pretty happy. Wonder what differences Xenons make?! There's a knocking coming from the back that wasn't evident on the test drive though... Think it's being collected tomorrow... The Nav is a special Garmin Nuvi developed for MINI, 3.5-inch

Courtesy car was dropped off this morning and the Cooper collected, fault should be sorted, knocking from the rear looked at and all four wheels actually refurbed...

Courtesy car is a brand spankers OneD arrived with 32mi on the clock (distance from dealers), standard outside bar chrome line pack, inside it's got Pepper Pack, Auto Climate Control, Bluetooth+USB, DSC, RadioBOOST and DAB.

Only things I've noticed are that the new facelift cars have adjustable brightness for the ambient lighting and they're a lot brighter than they used to be, whilst the rest of the interior is very dark, now the plastics have changed from silver to black. Colourline trim would be nice. Other than that, the volume control is up in the radio area, which it nice, just wish everything were a bit less black... OneD is much quicker than I thought it'd be, only just worked out that it's more than twice as torquey as my 207, really gives a nice shove and accelerates really smoothly. I appear to be taking a bit of a shine to diesel... yikes
