I recently had some work done to my teeth, 2 fillings in my upper rear row and my nerves removed from 2 lower teeth due to quite a lot of pain.
One tooth the nerve was removed succesfully and I have no issues with it. The second though had issues. From memory when they drilled into the tooth it was slightly pussy, they removed some nerves but said one didn't need to be removed? It had some antibiotic paste put onto something and then a cap put over the hole.
I was then given a 5 day course of antibiotics.
The problematic tooth was done on the 29th of December.
I'm now working in Khulna in Bangladesh and the tooth is quite painful. I am taking as much Ibuprofen as I can safely take but I was wondering if the infection (the pussy stuff he saw and the reason for the antibiotics) is still there and if any antibiotics would help?
A colleague had a bad experience with the doctors here but there are lots of places to get medication from so would rather try there first after some instruction.
I'll be home in 1 month but straight to a 2 week driving holiday and I don't want a painful tooth to ruin it.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Dave!

That's excellent, cheers for that.
I'll take the same amount I took before and fingers crossed it sorts me out, tooth pain is really taking it out of me, I can handle a lot of pain but this appears to be my weakness.
I'll get hunting for some.
Thanks for the help people, it was much appreciated.

Klavox is a brand of co-amoxiclav, aim for the 625mg strength (500mg amoxicillin/125mg clavulanic acid) if you can. If you believe the infection is gone keep them in reserve for a future flare up or alternatively start taking the course ASAP. It may be worth getting a box as a spare incase you have the issue before travelling back home or whilst away on holiday.
The dose would normally be three times daily.
