Pauline Does Paris!!!!!
Discussion
Following on from the acclaimed Debs Does Devon, I can safely report that Pauline well and truly did Paris....
....well as much as she could in a weekend anyway......
Anyway, my point for posting was that we sat for quite a while at the Arc De Triomphe, keeping one eye on the 4th July Remembrance service and the other on what was the sheer bedlam going on with the traffic!!!! This is where several avenues of traffic all come together in one big .......well....hell for leather...lets go for it ....charge...type scenario!!!!!!
And all the time we sat there...not one TVR.
In fact, only one sportscar....a Porsche, that was a blur of silver through the traffic
No accidents either....amazing....well worth going to the Arc De Triomphe to see the traffic mayhem alone!!!!!!

...//P// Terminator...indeed everyone..
...thank you......your wishes were much appreciated...... but please lets move on .............
I have this piccy of some of the bedlam.....
In no way possible to get it all in one shot.......
No traffic lights and the traffic on the far left just had to wait for a miniscule space before darting out and causing cars to swerve around......
I thought Milan was bad.......

...//P// The Arc du Triomphe is undoubtedly the most chaotic and scary place I have ever driven!
Imagine entering a VERY large roundabout with NO signs and then seeing on your rear view mirror dozens and dozens of cars coming in your direction at manic speeds and passing right and left ...
You get the idea...

You describe it exactly raftom........
On reflection, I shouldn't be surprised that there were no TVRs or sportscars about....I wouldn't want to take the Cerb there that's for sure.......
It's a legitimate racetrack in the middle of the city!!!

Have you noticed that all the cars seem to be the same colour...suprised you actually saw a Porker amongst that sea of silver...(arent all porkers silver??)
Glad you had a good time and are back safely....Bon Anniversaire. that should slip through the mods net!!

And there was me thinking that the proliferation of silver cars on the roads is peculiar to this country, but just look at that lot...
It makes me feel ashamed to own one!
I wanted black really!! Glad you had a lovely time Pauline

they have these crossings there that are totally ignored - went with the school aged about 15, a group of 20 or so of us were 'crossing' and this scooter tried to drive through us tooting... he was promptly dismounted and generously slapped about a bit - not by me of course, I just watched..

Too bad ! if I had known that you came to Paris, I would have taken my TVR or my Reliant to welcome you !
Thank you reliant....but it was a bit of a surprise as far as I was concerned........in fact I had made arrangements to be at Shuttleworth Air Show with Mid Essex TVRcc on the Sunday!!!
D'you know....just goes to show how observant I am......not....
I hadn't noticed that all those cars were silver......
Quite right about the crossings too.....we had a car drive round us whilst we were crossing
... but Daniel, who had been working in Paris just a week previously had pre warned us that crossings were not the safest place to cross a road!!!!

We're in Paris with the Tuscan this wekend, drop me a email through my profile if you'd like to meet up on the Sunday. We're staying close to the Arc de Triomphe.
Pauline, pleased you had a good time, sorry we're a week late to give you a blast round the roundabout! Have a great video from when we did this last year.
