Hotel suggestions please - St Malo to Le Mans
Discussion
Does anyone know of a nice hotel either at St Malo or close by or on the way between St Malo and Le Mans for the Classic please?
Criteria:
Town or edge of town location so that we can go out in the evening for a stroll / meal / beer
Interesting town / historical
Secure car parking for interesting / classic cars
Not ridiculously expensive but doesn't need to be low budget.
We will have spent the day exploring St Malo and close by so the hotel could be well on the way to Le Mans so that we have somewhere different to explore in the evening. I saw Dinan which seems nice, though have an open mind to suggestions.

Mayenne is about 75 minutes from the circuit, and about 90 minutes from St Malo.
Dependent upon budget, try:

This hotel is just on the edge of e town in it's own grounds.
Also, during race weekend I have seen a number of AMs in the car park of this 3 star Logis de France which is on the Le Mans side of Mayenne, and which is situated on the bank of a lake.

Done an overnight stop in laval. Handy for route to Le man. Think was a great western hotel I used. Had a nice restaurant with it also.
Be wary that most hotels in st malos old town, within the walls don't have private parking and it can be a bit of a nightmare parking within the walls.
Stayed in the hotel Cartier within the Walls. No parking, but rooms ok. Ask for a corner room though, they are much bigger and have nice curved windows.
Do a booking.com search for the hotels along the beach outside the Walls. Most have parking and are part of bigger chains so standards are ok.
Dinan is also nice, especially the old part down by the river.

The question asked is for a hotel on the way to Le man. Location criteria was for the hotel stop, not whilst at Le man.
