Had battery issue yesterday on my 911. It gave it's last start to get me home but clearly would not have started the car again, so rang Cambridge OPC to arrange a visit and battery change at short notice. They said come straight over. I was expecting and prepared to have to pay way over the top for the battery compared to my local tyre dealer or Halfords but knew for past experience that come next service they'd be on the phone re "non Porsche approved battery on the car" and it also has an extended warranty which I did not want to compromise.

So I pitched up (leaving the car running), it was attended to immediately, I was brought coffee and biscuit while chatting to after sales service chap, salesman etc and trying cars in the showroom for size. "would you like car washed while it is here sir?" yes please as it was filthy, "by the way your battery is covered by the warranty" RESULT! so left with car looking like new with new approved battery having been entertained and spent a very pleasant hour at the showroom.
Great service from all personal at Cambridge, thank you all.

I looked at a 997 gen 2 with PCCB .. no purchase was made, but the sales staff seemed excellent.

Never been there but they've posted a few parts out to me, always helpful on the phone and don't sound like they'd rather be somewhere else.

Could you expand on how the battery was covered under warranty please? I'm assuming because it was purchased from them within the last 12 months so must have been faulty? Ta.

+1 Just bought a 997C2S before Christmas and am very pleased with car/service,also took in my 03 C4S as trade in. Phoned up last week with a V5 query and in conversation was offered test drive in 991 demonsrator so am looking for a reason to go to Cambridge now!

There's a great fudge shop opposite one of the colleges - worth going just for that.
