Lovely ta!

For anyone who's interested, highlights of the race on 9pm tonight & 3.45pm tomorrow on Motors. Dubai is a fabulous circuit so hopefully it'll be a good one to watch!

Great photos thank you.

What always strikes me about these non F1 races in the middle east is the lack of spectators as though the race is run in secret. It must be strange to take part in a race like that.

If you go to Silverstone or similar for a clubmans race on a dark wet miserable Winter day and there will still be a decent amount of spectators. Go to Castle Combe on a nice Summer day to watch the Tuscans and the place will be packed.

Odd, I guess the ordinary working folk can not afford it or are not welcome.

No-one gives a fk over there: the F1 races aren't any better attended!

But, oh no, Bernie sees £££...

Yas Marina was full for the Abu Dhabi F1 race, tickets were sold out.
The reason for the lack of public visitors for the 24 Hour race in my opinion was the lack of local marketing, and a lack of coverage in the local media, coupled with a relatively small population and lots of other things to see and do.

it's also in a crap location for transport links. not everyone here is on expat wages and would be put off by a convoluted journey on public transport or a £20 taxi fare.

i told everyone about it at work, not a single person bothered to go.

if they sorted the PR and put on free buses, it'd improve dramatically.
