Hi All

Beginning of last summer I bought a 996 Turbo (2002 model) the cars mileage was a little high at 88,000, but one of the reasons I thought the car was a reasonably safe bet was that most of 'typical' jobs had been attended to eg clutch, brakes, radiators etc.
Due to a new addition to the family I've not really had chance to use the car much so it's been laid up in the garage. I noticed recently two small pools of pink coolant just ahead of each front wheel.
I stripped off the front bumper last night and both o/s and n/s radiators appear to be leaking at the lower seam. There was very little dirt trapped between them and the condensors.

My first question is, the radiators were last replaced by Porsche Newcastle just over 3 years/10,000 miles ago, is this the normal lifespan?

Second question is where is the best source for replacements? Are the Hella ones on sale at Design911 a good option?

Would appreciate your thoughts

3-4 years seems typical lifespan regardless of mileage.

The behr ones are same as original ones supplied by Porsche.

Try euro car parts as they probably supply design911 anyway.

Thanks Mike

You actually gave me some advice on this car late last year, identifying an oil weep from a timing chain guide bolt and some issues with turbo heatshields.

Still need to get the car to you for this work once these rads are sorted.
