IS this the part needed? http://www.racetechdirect.co.uk/tvr-car-parts-deta...
TVR specific part or is it a ford part?

That is the part you need, as well as the disks & calipers obviously.
As soon as you split the carrier you really want to replace the wheel bearings... TBH it's easier to buy a pair of rear corners off a later TVR from the breakers, uprights + brakes IMHO (IIRC I only paid @£100 several years ago for a chim 450 rear at Douglas Valley).

Vague description ? can you be sure they're for vented disc's not the earlier solid ones ?Russell Mc said:
Very bling and nice but if its 2wd fitment then solid discs only iirc.
Still very cool though
missed that bit.oopsStill very cool though

As my chassis is in a thousand bits right now, thought id take the opportunity to enlarge the rear disc, so opted for this upgrade also.
picked up a set of 273mm vented discs, hubs and calipers, which seem to be in good condition, so will be going back together with those.
10MM longer ears chaps, thats it to accommodate the fact the discs are 20mm bigger
think about it
I did this upgrade about 3 years ago as one of my original rear calipers was getting lazy anyway, and a guy on Ebay was selling NOS Ford vented calipers for silly money so hence the later brakes
