I've had a PS2 for many years, only playing motorsport games (GT3,GT4, F1, rally etc)
Time to upgrade methinks, but what to?
Which is best - the PS3 or XBox? I would play either GT5 or Forza4, I like the look of both, but the images from Forza4 look very tempting.
What about disc size, what do you need for these games? XBox seems to be 4Gb then 250GB which seems a huge jump.
And steering wheel - will my Logitech force feedback wheel work or will I need to invest in a new one too?
All comments gratefully received, thanks.

Oh god... Well I expect this to end in a 20 page fanboy session.
For the record I have both, both are very good consoles. Though I tend to only use my ps3 as a bluray player, as I personally prefer the Xbox to play, mainly down to the controller being more comfortable, and my friends being on live (plus I much preferred forza to gt).
However, it really doesn't make much difference, try and have a go on both and see which you prefer, you won't go wrong if you do.

OK thanks for the replies; I dont want to turn this into pages of fans of one slagging off the other!
I've always played GT3 and GT4 so I suppose I would naturally go for GT5/PS3.
But I'm leaning towards XBox as a mate has Forza4 on his and it looks great.
In that case, and seeing as I'm not interested in many other games, is the 4Mb one enough?

Don't suppose you can get Forza for PS3, not seen it anywhere. That would be best of both worlds.

Won't go wrong with either
The Xbox seems much better served online for stuff beyond games: TV on demand etc, etc. The PS3 always seems to lag behind, and doesn't have as many online extras.
The PS3, format wise, seems a little bit more future proof (well, as future proof as physical media is!). As an example, Battlefield 3 comes on one disc for the PS3 (Blu-Ray), whereas the same game for XBox comes on two discs, and I've not seen that since mid 90's PC games! As games get bigger, I can see this happening more often...

You have to look at the games you want to play. 3 years ago I sold my Xbox 360 for a PS3 as the PS3 was beginning to get some excellent games. Back then I'd have said get a PS3 without question, but now the Xbox 360 has caught up in features it's a tough question.
I haven't played Forza 4 but Forza 2 and 3 were brilliant so I expect it to be better than GT5 by now. The only thing letting The Xbox 360 down is that it has no decent steering wheels unless you want to pay £300 for a Fanatec.
