BF3 multiplayer issues - PS3

What am I doing wrong? If I try to join a Battlefield 3 online multiplayer match via the quick game option, I've very rarely get past the 'joining server' info box. Only twice have I been able to play online. I repeatedly get the message; " failed to join the game. Please check your internet connection and try again."

I'm playing online via an Ethernet connection with Sky Unlimited Broadband. The connection test shows up as fine so what's the problem? I can't join a server from the server browser menu either.

I'm new to online 1st person shooters but this can't be right?

It's probably not you. The servers can be shocking. Try the server browser and set the filter to Europe and join from there.

All servers over ps3, Xbox and pc are knackered. No hardcore, no conquest useless!

I just got into a game using the method above but it crashed after a few minutes.

EA/dice know there's issues at the mo and are working on it they do have dedicated forums and blogs for bf3 that are worth keeping a eye on.....
