Have just seen a new advert on tv for a new Citroen.

Apparently the reason we should be buying this car is 'BSPS'.

This should be Bull-st Protection System, but is in fact a new thing called Blind Spot Protection System.

Also known as looking in your mirror (or even looking over your shoulder).

If you are stupid enough to think this is a good reason to buy one then you should not even be allowed out on the roads in the first place.

I cant believe a manufacturer would sign off an advert with such a stupid message, is that the best they could come up with?

Any other adverts with utterly pointless reasons to buy a particular model?

looking in your mirror doesn't identify things that are in your blind spot. Hence why it's called a blind spot.

No, but looking over your shoulder, as you are advised to do, does.
