Multicar classic policy
Discussion
I'm getting more and more cars turning up in my garage. Well you can't let a nice car go can you?
So I've now got 2 classics used regularly, 2 in storage with no plans to move anytime soon and 1 car undergoing restoration.
Are there any classic multicar insurance providers that offer good sensible deals?

944 + Peugeot 205 RG + Nova GTE + Vanden Plas 1300 + Jag Mk11 = about £240 through Peter Best. They know the last two aren't on the road.
Me + Mrs insured. Both have daily drivers on other policies and fortunately several years no claims.
Peter Best seems easy to deal with. As per normal with classic insurers, the more enthusiast you are, the more interested they are!
Quite a few classic insurers do multi car policies I think, although they'll all occupy their own niche.

I moved to Hagerty last year after they quoted me just over half of what Footman James were asking for three classic cars (one restoration project). They are very enthusiastic, easy to deal with and interested in your cars personally. However, I fear they might not have the best prices on post 1980 cars and they are not terribly efficient - I'm still waiting for the paperwork for my last telephone update two months ago! (If someone from Hagerty is reading this please PM me!)
Adrian Flux is another insurer that is worth consideration (particularly at the top end of the market).
What I have learned is that it is well worth 'phoning around until you find someone who can do the right deal for you, as the premiums vary enormously.

Many thanks, I've now got 2 cars insured for little more than one. The lesson is shop around. The insurance industry are desperate for your cash.
Would you mind saying who it was with?I'm going through my usual renewal saga and as always it is a bit complicated!
I can insure 5 pre '91 cars on one policy with my current insurer for £147 fully comp, but as soon as I try to add my '98 Jeep on it jumps to £750!
Current is Peter James and i've had no problems with them over the last 4 years

I'm with FJ and did look at Hagerty last renewal, but the advantage I found with FJ was that they also cover modern cars, so I can have a mix of old and new on one policy. Hagerty said strictly classics only.robg2 said:

I tried them for my M3 renewal and on its own it was more than that? Me + Mrs insured. Both have daily drivers on other policies and fortunately several years no claims.
