From South Africa - an Audi TT driver loses control and has a head-on with a D3 G4.

The pictures aren't pretty but just goes to show the consequences of driving beyond the limit, and how save the LR is. Shame to see a G4 written off but at least it did its job and protected its occupants which is more than can be said of the Audi unfortunately.

"The Audi driver's vital organs were removed from the roofrack and engine bay of the Discovery. " - makes for sobering reading.

yes - understand that. We have a D3 question was from the article they talked about leg injuries to the D3 passengers and wondered if the D4 had knee airbags (as a D4 or FFRR is a possible chenge of car from the D3)

D4 may well do, but it's irrelevant as the article refers to the kids in the back also having kneecap issues, which wouldn't have been helped by airbags...

Hehe. Irrelevant, but useful info. I'm not sure they do - the D4 / RRS / D3 are getting on a bit now, and the FFRR is even older still. I suspect the new FFRR next year will have them, but again only in the front. Wouldn't be surprised to see the new belt bags too.
