I've sold my Z4M!! :-(

Sorry guys but it's gone and I'm back with a non PHworthy car again! It's a sad day as it's my baby! It's cherished, garaged, only used on dry days, cleaned after every run, although it is driven properly of course!
We've had our offer accepted on a house and the mortgage has been arranged, so the car has to go, along with a few other toys unfortunately. I'm not too sad as I'm so excited about the new house, but the car will certainly be missed. It's hard saying goodbye to my car, watch, mountain bike and a few other things, but we have to make sacrifices.
I'll definitely be back in a high mileage Z4 3.0 litre as soon as I can afford it, but with my mortgage payments, this may take a while!! May well have a look for a £1,000 MX5 to keep me entertained for a while.
I have my fond memories and stacks of photos of my beautiful car...

Well I paid £15,000 for it and have spent at least another £1,000 on tyres, tax and ipod kit. It's certainly worth a fair bit more than £13,500 but I advertised it a week before Christmas when we made the offer on the house and this couple were really keen. I then pulled out of the deal as our offer on the house wasn't accepted and we couldn't agree on a price. My girlfriend and I thought we'd then keep the car as we thought we had no hope on the house. Then we had a phone call from the estate agent, renegotiated and it's a deal! House has been taken off the market, solicitors are doing their thing and our mortgage is all sorted so it's all go! So I contacted the couple interested in my car and they agreed to buy it.
If it wasn't for Christmas and the car market being so slow over this period I would have certainly put it up for more. Probably £14,500 or so, but it was a bad time of year to be selling so I priced it accordingly. It's certainly a lot of car for the money!
And yes, the house is definitely worth it! Coming from a 2 bed terrace in a not so nice road, to a modern 3 bed semi, on a road of 6 other houses built at the same time, all the others are big detached houses, big garage, nice garden, drive, en-suite, conservatory, modern kitchen, modern heating the hot water system...the list goes on!!

You've only had it 5 minutes, still at least you scratched the itch. This was a particularly lovely looking example! Pity my left knee won't fit under the dash, or I may have one of these in the garage too.
Yeah, I haven't had it long. I bought when as a final toy before we bought a new house! Plan was to keep it until the spring, but this house was too nice to pass on!I know of a loverly grey/black 3.0 Z4 manual on 53 plate that is 7k if anyone looking for a cheap one,has been well looked after just needs some nicer wheels on as has the small looking ones.from memory its done around 80k with good history, owner replaced it with a newer 525D but still has Z4 to sell, its sorn and in Bournemouth if anyone interested.
Sorry to hear of your loss mate, but as the guys have said above we all have to do it at some point! I had to offload a couple of watches when I got rid of my SRT8 to clear the balance as I didn't want to plunder the family funds. However, we all bounce back with something shinier.

Wow - that was a whirlwind romance mate. Bet you are sad to see her go. Congrats on the house though- well done. Having jumped on the property ladder middle of last year I know how it is. I always said I would not get on the Ladder if it meant selling a car and managed to do it- but it was a squeeze for sure and the VX spent 6 months of the year tucked away. I know a VX220T and R32 that need good homes should you have a change of heart ;-)

Yes indeed, it was very quick! Very sad to see it go today. I am very much looking forward to getting in a 3.0 Z4, but for the meantime it will probably be a cheap MX5 for £1k! I'm not rich enough to put down nearly £40k on a house AND have a nice car!!Thejimreaper said:

Picked it up from Regal last week after they sorted it and put an MOT on it. Of all the things to happen after not driving it for 6 months, I got hit by a bit of debris on the M3 which took the splitter off, went under the wheel, and cracked the sill
New splitter arrived today and its had a good clean so photos as soon as the weather cheers up. Aiming to fly next Wednesday so looking like the sale of both cars will be left to my old man.Gassing Station | South Coast | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
