Anyone using 4 Beta yet?

Won't currently be using the additional video features, but there appears some good stuff, like selective White Balance adjustment and soft proofing......

I had a play with it the other night, it is a good improvement. I'd advise watching the videos for it, as I thought some of the new features wouldn't be that interesting, but it turns out they are (soft proofing in particular).

I like the look of the Maps feature. You can manually drag and drop existing photos onto their location, and it will automatically read in GPS data. The other really cool thing (explained in the video on the Adobe site) is that you can give it a GPS Track Log (I would use my phone), and it will then match the time a photo was taken and your position at that time to accurately log everything

Well I think LR 4 is "way "as they say on Photoshop TV - maybe even a bit "awesome"



I am finding it much more intuitive, and I swear I am getting better results much easier with the adjustments brush.

I guess I mostly concentrate on what LR will do in the Develop module, for others mileage may vary?

I haven't tried the beta version but like the sound of being able to soft proof from within Lightroom.

I'm not sure whether it would speed up my workflow though. I currently soft proof in PS and use the MikeD autoloader plug in to let me whizz through a whole directory of wedding images pretty quickly.
