It's now official

And although the article may not mention it, sponsorship has also been a key factor in this deal. It'll be sad not to have Rubens on the grid in Melbourne.

Part of me wants to see Senna get his chance - see if the family magic is there, but I think that's just my rose tinted specs.
Sutil seems to be another good driver without a car, and Rubens... well, kinda feel that Williams are missing the experience to help turn them around. As said above, will be sad not to see him race.

So it's now official. Senna in a Williams - i think that will be an evocative sight on the grid for obvious reasons.
Maybe Bruno can deliver the goods this season - i hope so however i have be honest & say that i would have preferred to see Rubens in the car for another year.
Just seems a shame that the grid will have some talentless fools on it, albeit with money, whilst good quality drivers such as Rubens are left on the sidelines.
& as for Kimi coming back....... how long before he gets bored again i wonder. 2 races, 3 races? What odds would i get that he is gone before the season ends?

I really like Rubens but to me, the only reason he would be on the grid in 2012, would be so he could fulfil his 20th season. Not because of how competitive he is.Sadly, taking away any sentimentality, he's had his time. It's time to step aside. Senna's F1 career has been pretty piecemeal up until now so it would be good for him to put a full season in with a half decent team.
I think it is odd that folks feel sorry for Rubens. He has had more than a fair shake of the stick in the F1 game. I'm more upset that the likes of J Alg, etc, are being pushed aside. Glad Senna got the Williams seat. More interesting than what he can do in a Williams, is what Williams can actually do.
