I'm looking to get the rear windows on my 2002 CR-V tinted for the benefit of the newly arrived small person who sits in the back. I've had a quote from the only tinting company I've ever used (Cappuccino tints) of £165 but before I take the plunge I thought I'd ask if any of you have experience of other local companies so I can compare prices.

Let me know if you have any stories, good or bad smile

(Also interested to hear from any PH members who might offer this service, always happy to put money in the direction of someone from here rather than an unknown)

Did a similar thing to my VXR8 last year and think I paid £160 if I remember correctly. I used a place in Barnsley that had been highly recommended to me. It took them just a few hours to do and the end quality is excellent. They even give a lifetime guarantee for as long as I own the car all in the price.

They used to be on Otley Road , Baildon nr Shipley but I think they may have moved now. Ask for Jamie and tell him Seb's dad recommended him.

Cheers, I've sent Expression a message and will have a look into the other one in a bit.

I've just seen the 10% off thing on their site too so in theory my original quote of £165 should be £148.50 now.

Thanks for the recommendation - I had the car in at Expression Tints yesterday following a good quote (with a discount from dropping your name into things) and am really happy with the work. The chaps were slightly late for the 2pm appointment but cracked on and did a really nice job, especially considering how nasty the rear window on the CRV is.

When I took the car in the Sat Nav wasn't reading it's DVD... when I came out it was. Could be a coincidence but if not that was a nice touch.

Cheers!

Need to get some tinting done for some bi-fold doors we're having installed. Do any of the above also do residential work?

Or can anyone recommend one that does. I'll give the above a call of course.
