S2 door motors

Am about to sell a low mileage S2 for my brother who is too busy. The only problem is that the drivers door window motor has packed in. Local mechanic has provided some crazy price from a TVR garage. Anyone got any ideas? Is it a crappy Citreon/Ford part etc? have tried couple of TVR breaker cars to no avail.

Would much appreciate some help on this while the sun is still shinig for selling a TVR.

Rover 800 I believe although I have never had it confirmed.
