my vote goes to the swift sport. we used to have one, i learnt to drive in it and its a great little buzzbomb. goes like the clappers, sounds great and has the usual 'zuk build quality

Another vote for the swift sport, used they seem incredible value next to Mini's and the like.

I'm hoping the OH will replace her Astra 1.4 with one when she starts her first job next month.

After being on many an early morning hoon with another PHer who owned one of these, the conclusion was fun, quick, good value, cheap to insure, and reliable. I'd say perfect what you are wanting.
