my hi beam tell tale light is not working are these bulbs or leds also how do you get dash top off?

Why worry? If you are using them you can (almost) see that the beam is on.

not worried just left them on and had a few flashes then realised i had left them on and telltale not working

They are LEDs so it is more likely that it is a wiring issue; the LEDs are mounted onto a very small circuit board, which can get bashed if any wires etc move around behind the dashboard. The circuit board is simply 'hanging' off the LED, which is usually glued in. When I last took off my dashboard the MIL LED was simply snapped off the circuit board and needed re-soldering.

It is a white LED - a search on here should tell you which Maplins part to replace. You will need a fine soldering iron.

As regards taking the dash off, there are any number of sources for this. Try Chimaera Pages, for example.

cheers for that, i did a search and found out how to remove top and now thanks for advise on light
