Evening all.
I'm shooting a short film based around mountain biking in Cannock Chase in the next couple of months.

Obviously I'm going to need some mountain biking talent so was wondering if anyone knows the best way of locating someone for the role?

Hoping to be able to film someone who's pretty handy on two wheels who can ride well and throw in a few tricks but I'm a bit unsure where to start looking.

This forum has lots of Cannock Chase regulars as members, might be worth posting on there.

You could try singletrackworld. Assuming they're we're not all abusing each other on ttter or arguing about log burners.

as its cannock chase I assume you're looking for DH riders?

if so, then www.southerndownhill.com is the best place to ask. Its by far the best forum in this country for the DH inclined.

and what sort of level are we talking here? pro level, or just pretty good?

Fantastic, thanks for those links guys, will give them a try.

@deadtom, a pro would be fantastic but a pretty quick amateur would be fine.

Hasn't all of the Singletrack lot taken up Cyclecross now anyway?

Try posting on Chasetrails as Naffa said. I am a regular over the chase so could be up for it - Pure XC riding though smile

I could maybe do it for you? Ive never been been to cannock chase before but keep meaning to go.

most of the riding photos on my friends blog (with the exception of the race photos, afan trip and self portraits) here: http://gnarlyorst.tumblr.com/ are of me, is that the sort of level of riding you were after?

I totally do not understand that sport. As far as i can tell it involves selecting a completely inappopriate bicycle for the conditions and then seeing just how much you can hurt yourself by wrestling with said bike in a lot of mud. ??
