Wind noise!

That is from the top edge of the drivers door.....at about 85-90mph.....has anyone experienced this and, or found a solution? Don't think it's window adjustment - more that the seal begins to fail at higher speed.....wondered if some sort of Velcro strip might work along top edge?

Is there a technique to 'bending the door'?!

If you have the air-con on fresh air, and haven't diverted some of the front inlet hoses for brakes/tunnel cooling mod, then it is generally the amount of air being rammed into the cabin from the front vents that then pushes the door seals outwards and hence the noise.

Either turn it to recirc, or take the non-blanked hoses off the front inlet scoop and use them for something else.

simple solution is to get some washer pipe

lay it in the fold of the door seal

and now the door will seal perfectly

if it is the right fit - glue it or tape it in position

I've done this and it still happens, i think it's the low pressure outside the window creating a vacuum and pulling the window out.

I fitted larger seals which has helped but still get it at 120+, might throw a length of silicone vacuum hose in the top edge of the seal. Only passenger side for me.

Drivers side for me, but it improved when the door was adjusted to shut a bit higher. mine had slipped and was catching on the door shut mechanism.

still happens over 110mph but drivers side only.

mind you, my Impreza is the same so i am used to it now!!
