Hi PH crew,

yes I know the answer is to visit a GP, but with work as it is i just can't get away unless it turns into an "emergency".

About a week or so ago i had an ache in the right side of my neck, nothing new there, spend too long on a computer & it happens sometimes.

Last Friday i noticed some small lumps on the right side of my head, maybe 7-8 of them starting at the hairline & running upwards.

Asked mrs Grouch to look & she said they look like insect bites, slightly red etc.

They are quite tender if i prod them.

Shoulder / neck area also aches a bit.

Any ideas ??? Quick google throws up so many possibilities from "don't worry about it" to "buy yer coffin"

All advice appreciated :-)

My brother had something similar recently, and it turned out he had shingles. It's worth getting checked out.

thanks for the reply TS,

I really don't think it's shingles because I think they scab up after a day or two & these bumps have been on my bonce since Saturday.

I know the right answer is to visit my GP but having only been twice since my HGV medical in 1982, i'm not exactly keen on breaking tradition LOL

cheers for the idea though, it's something I hadn't thought of !

Did they give you aciclovir or similar for it? They didn't with my brother as he'd had it for a week or so when he went to the GP. Apart from being a bit painful and swollen it didn't really affect him too badly.
