Didn't realise the merc sent CKD cars to India,odd spec,manual diy windows but leather and aircon.Speedo in mph mileometer in KMs ,does that white face look like some sort of overlay?I can understand aircon but black leather, not the sort of interior for wearing shorts on a hot day!

It's always interesting to see 'odd spec' Mercedes . A chap in my village had an R plate (1997) 124 250non turbo diesel manual . It had been a Singapore car and had air con , but manual 'box and plastic (Tex) seats . It was non metallic blue , so not particularly attractive , but sold quickly .
There are some real treasures out there !

Interesting find, never seen an Indian 124 before. I think Iran has.had a licence to build them as well.
My brother-in-law in Mauritius had a 190E that was South-African import, had pretty much the same spec- manual windows, white with black mb-tex and air con. The black mb-tex was a real bum-burner.
