It just cost me £101.64 to fill up! frown

That's the most I've ever put in one go, I suppose the £100 fill up is becoming a regular thing these days?

A fraction over £90, but I did treat it to Optimax...

I'm expecting this to be a reasonably regular occurrence now...

Odd isn't it? The crude oil price is still about 30% less than it was 4 years ago. The forecourts are quick to put up the price after a slight crude increase, but very slow to bring it back down again, when the opposite happens.

I was chatting to one of our suppliers delivery drivers, he said to fill up at a service station the other day cost him £705.
He would have to do that twice (coming from Scotland to Devon & a few diversions for deliveries).
If he was lucky he'd get about 8MPG...

Regular £120-130 fills in the Disco. Has been for a year or more, was higher under the fuel protests.

So for those of you who use "Pay at the Pump" how do these large fillups work?

Most of the pumps seem to set a limit of £80 or £90 when you put your credit ard in - does it just carry on or does the pump stop when you get to the maximum amount allowed?

I guessed what car you had before I checked your profile. I used to have one of those and filling station attendants were often aghast at how much diesel would go into it. And how often.

Indeed, its the only thing keeping me from buying the 5.0 Supercharged i tested last weekend. Reckon my foot would deliver c.14mpg overall.
