Any fans / detractors in the house?

I'm resigned to the fact that GTA 3 is still many months off (maybe even a year) and looking to make my annual game purchase.

Any good? I had the first one on 360 many years ago, seemed an OK-ish GTA clone, only a touch more silly and the cars seemed a little cartoonish and very neon.

i have it and completed it and i would have to say i like it. fair enough the missions are bat-st crazy but hey i wont spoil it for ya but beware for some missions where you think...how the hell did the plot twist like this

also if you buy it new and before feb the 12th on PS3 click co-op and download the online key and you get saints row 2 as a free download

It's OK. Made an ideal rental for me finished it in about 4 days.

Thanks both, I think it's £25 in Tesco at the moment, I'll pick a copy up - keep me out of trouble until the evenings are light again.

Thanks for the heads up on the free copy of the 2nd one - being a cheap-ass I nearly bought it instead (because it's only £9 ha ha).

ya need to go on saints row 3 co-op then it will send ya to the stoor to activate your online key. once that is done search the store for saints row 2 and you will see that its now free...it is 7.5gig on download but hey its a free game

Good concept just very samey after not very long.

I thought it was great.

Not as good as GTA on a technical level, but better main characters than that "Nico" tit and as mentioned, its utterly batst crazy and genuinely funny in parts.

Great laugh in multiplayer too.

Agreed.

PS2 quality game at best. After playing games like RDR, LA Noire and even Mafia II this game is terrible. Crazy weird missions are interesting, but dont make up for a rubbish game.

I loved it, crazy missions with some concepts I missed from GTA such as vehicle modding. I enjoyed it a lot more the gta iv it felt like a crazier San Andreas to me. Looking forward to the Dlc
