DC5 vs 350Z vs Mk1 FRS

Imho
350z great car lovely engine rwd but only 2 seats more of a grand tourer than a sports car handling can be a bit lively at times forget modifying unless you have deep pockets for turbos or a supercharger.
Dc5 one of the best normally aspirated engines you will find although needs to be worked to get the best from it great handling very strong, import only & the insurance can be silly money suspension to hard for a daily
Focus I've spent 60k behind the wheel of mine & it can still put a smile on my
face stock not much in it performance wise with the integra but a simple remap puts it way ahead (advantage of a turbo
) better handling for our
crap rds than the integra & easier to drive (don't have to drop a gear to overtake) long distance also would be the cheapest to insure
All are reliable as long as they are looked after but are very differant cars
It's your choice 10k is more than you need to spend to buy a good example of any of the cars

130 is ugly & can be expensive with run flat tyres & other bits Leon is a cut price golf & it shows The rs has many bits unique to it which make it the car it is but this can count against it as the parts can be expensive at times.
The focus for me (yes I may be biased) is the best fwd car there has been, It is a fantastic all round car with abilitys that can show up many much more exotic cars.
Drive the others then drive a good focus (mine if you want) I'm confident the focus will be your choice.

That's not to diss it because all 3 I'm sure youd be happy with, just another viewing angle

I owned a DC5 foy a year and would agree the FRS is the better daily choice - more flexible engine. I disagree the DC5 is too hard though (unless you lower it) and as for the Focus handling better - I doubt it considerably.

I think you would be surprised with the handling of the focus I've been on runs with both dc5's & dc2's & never had any issues in the twisty bits with only a turbocharged dc2 coming anywhere close on the straights but still not matching the grunt of the focus I owned a DC5 foy a year and would agree the FRS is the better daily choice - more flexible engine. It's all down to personal preferance but FYI :
I hate the 350Z as much as I do RX8's, the Gearbox is heavy and clunky, the whole thing feals heavy and lumbering, engine I found wasn't really very willing sort of sluggish.
DC5, only passengered in one but felt very nice inside i.e interior quality, rear leg room wasn't too bad.
FRS, Very nice to drive but make sure you buy a good'un as many have been abused but many more have not been looked after corrently/at all. Interior does feel a little tacky but that's an individual opinion.

If it's anything like the leather pack on standard mk1 Focus the RS will offer a great combination of comfort and support. Compared to something to something like an Integra I can't imagine the interior would be a huge issue.Personally I'd probably go for the 350Z, but that's just because I prefer old school sports cars to hot hatches or sports saloons. Be mindful if you do the same that the boot isn't huge.
If I manage to get myself to fit in one id consider an S2000 but it looks unlikely.
The only thing that puts me off the 350 is the reviews that its TOO heavy and boat like and will it feel special enough to keep me interested for 5 years. The other 2 cars are future classic so there will be a vibrant scene around them.

Being a hatch or not doesnt really come into the equation as far as im concerned. I have a Grand Vitara for lugging stuff around and fitting the dog in. Just really want an ooohhhh! car but dont really have the budget to run one and a DD so trying to mix them both into one without bankrupting myself.
