Hi people.
Been told of a puppy that has been left out on the street. It's in somebodys house at the moment but they're not keeping it over night. We've said we would and then get in touch with the nearest rescue centre tomoro.
Is there anything it will need? I've been told it's 5 weeks old but not the breed of the dog.
It'll be staying in the bedroom as our lab is downstairs and don't fancy mixing them both.
Thanks.

Five weeks is very young, water and warmth for sure, cuddles absolutely, it is very important to handle them at this age, get help tomorrow though, it may need feeding suplements at that age.

We were too slow. We picked the lady up who knew where the puppy was but we've been told that somebody has homed the dog now.
I would have rather took it the rescue centre however.
Hope the pups ok and not used as a toy frown

You're a top man.

As before it neds love, cuddles and water. Don't worry if it doesnn't seem hungry, it's distressed. I'd probably get a syringe and squirt some milk down its throat before lying next to it all night. Then vet in the morning, 1st thing.

If this was in England or Wales, any found dog MUST by law be reported to the Dog Warden. Dog Warden or police in Scotland. No-one can simply keep or give away a dog found anywhere. That dog will never legally belong to whoever has him now.
