Or are there equal/better media streamers/players/storage boxes out there?

(bearing in mind I have two HDDs full of content I've brought with me, so an AppleTV, while neat, would necessitate building a NAS or some external USB enclosures)

Personally I'd check out the Boxee Box

Something running XBMC ... used Boxee on ATV1 and whilst its 'ok', I prefer using XBMC as it will stream ripped Blu Ray. Plus with XBMC you have a choice of hardware to install it on. Something like the Acer Revo networked and some sort of control would be my choice.

Personally I think the new Popcorn A300 blows everything out of the water at the moment.

Got the popcorn A110
still adequate for everything i play at the moment.

Did just purchase the logitech revue though for internet streaming.

Had a look at the WDTVs and the Dune. Neither play as many different formats as the Popcorn plus the new interface on the A300 is really good and in my opinion better than the other two. I still have a C200 but will be upgrading shortly.
