Started a new apprentice this week. A real petrolhead, so he tells me. I told him to put this E on the corner lift as it was running a bit lean and needed the suspension checked out.

10 minutes later the car's still not on the lift: his excuse?



I can't reach the pedals!!

You just can't get the staff nowadays!

Sadly not, neutral. It's a customers in for some bits and bobs.

Unfortunately we had some really violent weather up here a couple of weeks ago and it thumped his carcoon off the nearside denting it quite badly, so it will need some repairs and painting, but a very nice car, and a Series 1 4.2, my personal favourite.

I decided to give a new local car detailer a try some time ago. She turned up and ate my sponge.

I can highly recommend this mechanic and he works for peanuts (although he prefers cream eggs).

that's awesome, bless him, think at that age I was busy rolling my "Cosey Coupe" down the stairs. I haven't improved with age..

They're some really nice pics, brought back some happy memories for me as well. I started my lads young and their enthusiasm grew as their pocket money was performance linked

These days - can I get either of them to clean my car? - not a chance! lol!

Cheers. The helpers haven't damaged the paint too much... Still I think it's better to let them help me and sit inside whilst I'm working on it. Any damage they do is forgotten when they say it's their favorite car

I think these pictures work so well because both children and classic cars are so photogenic.
