I am considering making the wind deflector for the Esprit. I need one for my car so I would like to know if there is a demand for them. Cars get sold the wind deflector is lost. If there is a requirement for them I will get a few made. Pricing depends on demand.

I think that's a fantastic idea. I can't beleive the design of the things where they just sit there with a bit of velcro attached to the fabric. Atleast a dome or something to secure it would have been a better option at the time. I still have mine, but am sure there are plenty here who have their ones missing. Good luck.

Yup, I'd be interested... I'm also interested in a sunroof bag, so I'm off searching the [turboesprit] and [UKLotusEsprit] archives, as I'm sure someone had some made a while ago...

Hello Charlescrawley
Instead of buying a used bag why not have one made, the current ones require you to slide the bag over the roof which is quite a job considering the weight of the roof. So as an enhancement why not just have a 2 sided bag with the other two sides secured with velcro, ie lay the roof onto open bag then close and seal.
Just an idea and something I am thinking of doing with my current bag

You're right... That's what I'm searching the archives for... Someone did have some made a while ago... And ignore my boring sign-in name, just call me Charles!

Edited to add: I'm not sure either item will be necessary this year though... It's just started raining again here...

I'd be interested in a wind deflector too. Its amazing with a limited number of Esprits why these deflectors disappear so regularly. If I remember correctly, they DID come with the cars. So, there should be an equal number of deflectors and cars in the world. Oh well.

I have a 94 S4, will the deflector design be universal or are there differences between the years?

I have a G style Esprit but I believe the deflector is the same for the Stevens model. Perhaps someone can enlighten me.
