My work are probably organising a staff outing, and there is just a bunch if guys who work here. Naturally, I suggest karting and it was received well. Since I moved to leeds, I've not been karting in Yorkshire so where is good? Company is paying, so cost not too much of an issue biggrin

PPIK is good, typcial indoor rental type place but at least the karts are half decent, dont fall to bits and the track is interesting (has a flyover). Just off South Accomodation road.

I've heard off PPIK and that they are good. Outdoor is generally better than indoor though IME. Nice and close by though.

They have a second track at wetherby too now.

Always had a good session at either when I've been including when I've taken colleagues.

There's an outdoor track at Tockwith just east of Wetherby.

However I think the track at PPIK Leeds is better despite being indoors. Not tried the Wetherby PPIK, but the last track set up in that unit before PPIK took over (It's at Thorpe Arch) wasn't as good as Leeds.

Wetherby ppik is flat with no undulation or cross over at all. For me Leeds is better.

2nd this. Used to go years ago.

At the time it was the 2nd longest kart track in the country.

We did a he-man which iirc consisted of a 20min practice/qualify followed by a 40min race. Was knackard by the end!

The Pro-Am track at Tockwith is outdoor and I've been there a few times (and won our events hehe)

Concrete and tarmac, nice circuit with a decent straight and some good turns. Technical enough and grippy enough to be entertaining. Full digital timing loop. Double engined petrol karts. Good fun, unless it rains.

My Son just went today for the "Iron man 60". Good track which is pretty challenging. Managed about 63 laps in the 50 minute race.

This one, its brilliant. I went last year for a stag do and as mentioned we were knackered by the end.

I like PPIK, but beware, if you're small like me and don't get a booster seat then you can nearly fall out going under the flyover.

F1 in Wakefield is pretty good

There's also a little one in Guiseley which I like Pole Position iirc. No really long straights, just a little twisty circuit. Cars are geared quite low so you absolutely fly out of corners
