I'd love a newer shaped jag, a new shape a4, discover or something in or around the £15,000 bracket.

But im too tight to spend more than about 8k, which sees me doing endless circles on auto trader of high mileage A4 and 3 series dogs, or looking at stuff in budget which i dont actually like that much and would be bored with in a few months frown

Annoying.

Cool starry bra.

In other news my local shop was held up by a Turk wielding a banana.

Stop moaning and take £9k out your pocket and buy this:

Zero depreciation means it's the budget option, really (man logic justification).

I'm not a fan of the looks of of the breadvan pictured, but the principle is right.
You're looking at relatively boring cars and need to be looking at more interesting stuff, whether in looks, performance, handling, anything..

Work out what you need the car to do
add in what you WANT the car to do

buy a car that does what you need, but makes you want to look back at it after every time you lock it up at night.

As a rule, I don't like BMWs. but that is one of my want list. Seriously, is it that cheap?!?!?

Monaro or that?

Daddy or chips?

I think your only option is one of the following:

Corgi

Matchbox

Otherwise... you aren't too tight to spend, you are just struggling with the idea of spending a lot of money. Which I understand, I was there until I spent far too much money on a BMW E61 Touring - the best idea I ever had biggrin
