Quietest public campsite
Discussion
Quiet as in what ? Racing noise or people noise ? Beausejour is probably the furthest from the actual circuit but..........Beausejour is a bit yobby In my experience, camped there once, never again.
Karting Nord is close to the circuit so very noisy. Houx and Houx Annex pretty good if you get the right space. Can't comment on the campsites on the other side, Bleu Nord etc as never been there. Best one was Technoparc. If they open that again, book it. Furthest from the circuit out of all and has a really good private campsite feel about it. Unfortunately not been available for the past 3 years.

This reeminded me of the (film ?) quote about hotel rooms in Cairo... Guest: "Can you give me a quiet room, please?" Receptionist: "Quiet room - In Cairo!!!! No way"
Quiet camp site at the Le Mans circuit-- No way Only degrees of noise.... On our campsite there was a slot between 5am and 7am on the Saturday morning when I could hear only birdsong and no Gennies...!!!

Try the Municipal Camp Site at Eccommoy.
It used to be packed by those that were in the know and a best kept secret, but last year the economic situation was evident and there was plenty of space.
Not usually necessary to pre-book and its cheap with free hot water showers.
Not such a secret now that it has appeared in the Club Arnage handbook.
Strongly recommended.

Without any doubt, the best location at the whole circuit is inside the tertre rouge bend. You can grab a beer at the marquee and 30 mtrs later you are sat opposite the large screen watching from inside the tertre rouge corner.
The site is run by team langoustine and they know how to do it properly. Never over crowded, fantastic facilities, security and no saxo brigade. Just like minded motor racing fans.
I don't mind telling all as my place is booked.

I don't know if it helps but we now stay at the Lycian events site (was PCGB) on the Porsche curves. This is a great site, fantastic catering for sensible money, good showers/loos, the site is enclosed so the car is safe, its fairly quiet apart from race day. Bit of a haul to the village and pits but well worth it for the good food and sensible crowd around you. Beer (British!) is cheap and the Lycian folk make you feel very welcome, its not expensive and we wont stay anywhere else.
D'Arion is a spin off of Beausejour, last year it was split into two, the second bit called Pincenardiere. In the few years we've stayed there it's been very quiet and to the best of my knowledge trouble free. It has it's own bogs / showers as well. The first year our tent was broken into and a Ferrari umbrella left in the tent. (nothing taken, they unzipped the tent, threw the brolly in and zipped it back up again, cheers whoever you are). Down side is the walk to the Village but we've always enjoyed it there.
