hi all, whilst I was under the bonnet this glorious afternoon, I noticed a water pipe at the front of the cyl head near temp sender that is about 6'' long and blanked off. Is this normal?

Yes, it's normal. On the original Range Rover application it would have gone to one of the two pipes sticking out beneath the plenum chamber where it was used to heat the throttle body area.

I used ACT hoses and didn't have any sealing problems though I did nip them up a bit after 100 mlies or so. Don't know about colours, speak to Tim at ACT.....very helpful guy.

also that short pipe is good for when you bleed the air out of the water system.

Someone who's chucking them out to fit stainless ?
