mk1 1.6--- suggestions for replacement exhaust please

my 1993 1.6 is still on its original exhaust after 105k miles

when the time for replacement comes, i would like to have an exhaust which is both louder and more high pitched on hard acceleration

any suggestions for a suitable replacement exhaust?

High pitched? You'd mprobably have to go custom for that if it's even possible?

The MX5parts single exhaust is very very good though, I have one on mine and it's the left compromise between.noise and subtlty

It's not really high-pitched but the MX5Parts stainless twin pipe sounds brilliant and is pretty loud. If you want mega-loud then swap the cat out for an unsilenced decat pipe, but I found that was just too loud so I've got a silenced decat pipe instead.

I've got a second hand IL Motorsports dual exit system with an unsilenced decat on mines, I can confirm that it is rather fking loud.

Also got very good condition standard cat-back system that came off clogging up my bedroom cupboard - drop me a PM if you're interested.
