Which car would be the best out of these three?

I am taking my sister on a track day at Castle Combe next month. I have three cars I could take, but which one would be best?

1/ MG TF 1.6
2/ BMW Z3 2.8
3/ Toyota Starlet GT turbo

She is a total beginner so that need to be considered also.

Z3, keep TC on job done..... even if it does break loose they are quite progressive so no worries.

Z3 is probably the best fun to drive but if it's wet or if you have any doubts about your abilities to teach or your sisters ability to drive I'd go with the Starlet!

If you want tail out fun I expect the Z3 but if you want mid engined handling then the TF.

Just don't go too fast into Quarry! (in either!)

TF? 'Handling'? Are you implying that an MG-TF handles better than a BMW Z3?

I think I am heading this way, i.e. the Starlet. It is the safest option given the unknown quantity that is my sister!

Has he ever driven RWD before? if not I'd be inclined to go with the Starlet. Power oversteer needs to be learnt in deserted industrial estates, not the racetrack.

Thought the TF was a 1.8? Performance wise, probably z3 will be quickest but may be look at which is cheapest to repair if something goes wrong and cheapest on tyres and brakes.

I don't think so. Mid-engined handling is different to front-engine RWD handling. It can be more "engaging".

Just because its FWD dont think the starlet is an easy TD car!

Turbo lag, and plenty of power UNDERsteer can be just as easy to be caught out on, as is power..understeer...more lock..MORE LOCK...lift off...too much lock..TOO MUCH lock the other way...crash.
