Amazing how difficult to find...H-E-L-P!!!!!
Discussion
Some of you will know that I am having a go at rewiring my loom (ls7 E38 ECM) this weekend, but I have been STUMPED with curcuit 2705 as I don't appear to have any doc that show this.
I am trying to trace back various wires to make sure I have all in the right place, BUT...
...one of the biggest problems I have is the lack of a complete wiring pin-out docs for the ECM and the loom connectors themselves.
I managed to find some pin-out diags for the E38 (two plugs), but as for the LS7 (7ltr) loom connectors, this eludes me! The best I can find is a set of pages showing the 6.0ltr version of the GM loom but the wire colours are different and some of the connectors are different, and in this case circuit 2705 is missing..
So can someone help me by pointing me in the right direction for the complete diags so I can complete the tracing?
...pretty-please? H-E-L-P!
Cheers
Keith

Hi Keith,
Sorry can't help directly as I'm in Houston at the mo - I do have the info you need at home in the workshop though as I have a full set of GM workshop factory manuals
I'm not back to UK until May but I'd suggest giving Jeff Schwartz a call - I'm sure he can help you with the info you need
Good luck - hope you get it sorted soon...
ATB, Simon

Thanks anyway Simon...
Anyone in the UK got such info?
I am going through checking all the 5v ref wires, but I don't have any diags for the LS7 connector plugs to ID the circuit numbers nand then test that end, so I am STUMPED!
BUM! - I had hoped to get this finished this weekend....
...ahh well! - There is always Skyrim I suppose.... go kill some more dragons!

Hi Russ,
2705 is a 5v ref, and I am at the moment going through all 5v refs to make sure I get 5v at the connector ends...
This is why the connector pin-out and associated circuit number can be so useful.
Any idea what 2705 does?
Basicall I just need to evrivy all connector curcuits back to the ECM to be sure I have all the wires spliced right.
Already found one done wrong..now put right...
cheers

That one isn't implemented within my loom Keith. It's had all the surplus wires removed so only the ones that are actually used are left.2705 is a 5v ref, and I am at the moment going through all 5v refs to make sure I get 5v at the connector ends...

Thanks to all!
One of you guys (you know who you are) has kindly donated a pin-out sheet with all the info I think I will need, which has made life much easier. I am 1/2 the way through the wiring continuity checks now - my back will nodoubt be suffering after this task, but I will be much happier in the knowledge that all the wires are in the right place!
Should have it done in the next couple of evenings (given I have a pass to the garage)...then the big switch-on...
...we will see...
Cheers

RIGHT!
A GREAT BIG THANKS FOR THOSE THAT HELPED ME WITH THE DIAGS, AND ALL THOSE THAT GAVE ME MORAL SUPPORT!
Finished the mapping of wires tonight, only one wire (same colour) mis-spliced!
..and....
Ign ON:
Pumps ON:
Fire... and WEAY-HEY! It spluttered into life!
Now I can go snuggle up to the missus on the sofa for the rest of the evening, with a smile on my face!
She wern't happy when she heard it! Hates the thing! Never mind - I told her it was an open marriage!
Now I can seriously arrange to put the cab on....finally!
Thanks again guys..
Appreciate it!
