Trainee Car Sales executive interview - Tips?
Discussion
Hi guys,
I have not been to a formal interview in years and I have never had much experience in all honesty.
I was just wondering if people could give me any tips on things to research, things to say, how to act etc.
I have researched the company/motor group and looked on here at a few previous threads but getting a good variety of answers can't hurt.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dean

Dean, just go in be yourself people buy off of people if they don't feel at ease with you they will think customers won't.
Tell them you want to make sure a customer leaves feeling there is nothing you haven't done.
And sales managers and dp want to hear that your aims are to maximise profit by add on and f&i
And being target motivated.
Good luck

Hi
I was a salesman for Mercedes-Benz a few years ago.
They were obsessed with image, go looking the best you can!
As a previous poster said, be yourself, people buy of people and your unique personality will be important.
As its a trainee role, (As I started) they may look at you as a dogs body (sorry) so you have have to drop any ego you have.
If you have done sales previously, they may also ask you what your sales technique is and ask you to demonstrate a sale.
I am just speaking from my experience.
Best of luck!!
